Sketchbook Sunday.

I'm still here! I haven't blogged in a while I know, its been super rainy here lately so I haven't been on many adventures. But I have been doing some exciting projects that will hopefully be ready to share soon! For now here is a peek into my sketchbook. Some simple graphic line drawings looking at pattern.

Sketchbook Sunday.

This week I've been drawing pine twigs, I guess I'm missing the Christmas tree, and all the Christmas stuff that comes with it! I tried out a few different materials, which was fun!

Eat Read Watch Need.

EAT: In true January tradition, I am trying to eat more healthily, and so many recipes from this book look delicious!

READ: I have tried calligraphy before, but never really got the hang of it, but I'm hoping that this book for left handed calligraphy will help me avoid ink smudging! Have you ever tried calligraphy? Any tips?

WATCH: Since watching 30 rock and then moving on to Parks & Recreation I have become a huge fan of Tina and Amy, so I really want to see this! Have you seen it?

NEED: I found out about Lancaster & Cornish through Pip's blog, and their knicker kit is such a great idea! They also have a gorgeous range of organic fabrics, I'd love to make something from this morning dew pattern.

December Moodboard.

A little late but here is my monthly moodboard for December (see November here and October here). Seeing Karin's and other January moodboards up already wants me to get mine out a little earlier for the upcoming month! So I think I will use my new seasons book to see what I should be looking out for in January! But anyway, December was full of forest walks, and lone survivors in gardens full of winter decay. Dark greens and browns with the occasional bright colour from moss or a stray flower left from warmer months.

Sketchbook Sunday.

This week I used felt tip pens for the first time in forever, to draw some pinecones! It was fun to work so quickly, and use colour, I think I will try some more felt tip drawings, and maybe try to add more detail.

So since finding Still blog I posted about back here I wanted to have another go at photographing things I had collected on one of my walks against a white background. It has really helped when I'm drawing in my sketchbook, avoiding all distractions in the background, just focusing on the object against a clean base!
