Dunedin Snapshots.

I have been in Dunedin for 3 weeks now, and am heading back to Auckland in a few days. It has gone so quickly! Dunedin is a great city though, so close to the beach, and some cool things going on in the city. There are loads of interesting buildings, it actually reminds me a little of America, with the wide streets and mix of apartment buildings.

On my way down South to Dunedin I stopped for 3 nights in Queenstown, which is amazing! Such a beautiful place, surrounded by the lake, and so much nature! I didn't do any of the crazy activities, or even go up the gondola as it got cloudy towards the end of my trip, but even just walking around was pretty cool! There were so many incredible views across the lake, and as you can see I had all the different weather, with blue skies and sunshine at first, and then grey, misty and cold, with snow on the mountains!

Bus Snapshots.

I took the bus (well, 4 buses and a ferry) down from Auckland to Dunedin! It took about 5 days (including a stop in Queenstown), but I got to see some amazing places on the way. And luckily the ferry was a calm trip, and lots of blue skies and great bus stops!

1. View from the ferry coming into Picton.
2. Waiting for the bus at Picton ferry terminal.
3. A bus lunch break at Kaikoura, just after seeing seals on the beach a little up the coast!
4. Kaikoura again, it was beautiful.
5. Another lunch break at Lake Tekapo.
6. A cold stop in Queenstown.
7 & 8. So many different sights from the bus!

Sketchbook Sunday.

Ok so it's actually Monday morning here in New Zealand, but its Sunday back home, so I'm deciding to pick and choose the time zones to suit me! I'm back drawing, I've gone on a bit of a road trip down South to Dunedin for November, so lots of new places to explore and draw! So many beautiful places, and summer is coming up, so lots of blue skies which are perfect for adventures!
I've been back to drawing lots of flowers, and also a super scribbly coast drawing which looks messy and gross, but I spent ages sat for ages drawing and looking at the beach below, so it was good for something!
